To be accepted onto the internship programme you will be aiming for at least a 2:1 degree and also have:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Team working and influencing skills
- Strong academic performance combined with extracurricular interests and achievements
- Passion for a career in the asset management industry
- Commitment to continual training and develop
- Language skills (desirable but not mandatory)
Streams and Locations
We have 12 business streams that interns can apply to for their placement. we have opportunities for a range of different interests and skill sets across our investment and business desks. You can read more about these streams and the departments they include within brochures below:
Our internships in the UK and Americas are available in seven locations across the two regions.
UK – Aberdeen, Edinburgh, London
Americas – Boston, New York, Philadelphia, Toronto
Our programme is structured to help interns make the most of their 10-week placement in the business.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Our interns are given a one day induction where they get to hear presentations from divisions across the business, meet their peers and hear from our current graduates.
Intern Midway Event
A day of activities for all interns halfway through their placement followed by a networking evening with managers from the business.
Access to online learning
To help build more technical knowledge and gain a better understanding of our business.
Interns are able to attend Lunch n Learn presentations from teams across the business as well as hearing talks from all business streams to help them understand our business better.
Build new networks
As well as attending set events, our interns have the opportunity to build rapport with managers and colleagues across the business.
All interns are interviewed for selected stream of our graduate programme at the end of their placement.
